Paeonia Itoh 'All That Jazz' – Bare Root
Paeonia Itoh hybrid 'All That Jazz' is a highly popular tree peony with cream-white flowers featuring a shifting dark pink center. It is a hybrid between the herbaceous peony, which dies back in winter, and the woody peony, a shrub that overwinters with its branches above ground.
A beautiful detail of this peony is the speckled coloring on the petals. The flowers are fully double, and the stems are exceptionally strong and thick. The dark green foliage adds to its charm. A favorite of pollinators! Plant in deep, nutrient-rich, well-drained, but moist, lime-rich clay soil.
Blooming period: May-June
Height: 75-100 cm
Hardiness: Zone 4 (5)
Location: Full sun to partial shade
Size: 3-5 eyes
If you can't plant it now, place the tuber in a plastic pot. The soil should be slightly moist, but no watering during winter. Place the pot outdoors by a wall under cover, or in an unheated shed/storage. In April-May, the peony can be planted in the garden.
Autumn planting: Dig a hole at least 50 cm deep and wide. Mix compost or rose soil with existing soil and add Zetas bulb fertilizer. Place the root at an angle with the buds facing up and cover with about 5 cm of soil. Water thoroughly.
